clean & simple sunday #25

So—-lots of new products coming out of Convention in New Orleans this weekend! I’m hearing about new shimmer card stock, fun and exciting new stamp sets and some fun new products like clear acetate paper and window dies as well as new colors of felt… I’m sure the new catalog will be something to pour over when it finally arrives!

In the mean time, I have been playing with the new colors I have in hand and enjoying a new stamp set I picked up as well. This set is not new to the catalog, its an oldie-but-a-goodie and its called Marvelous Marigolds

marvelous marigolds

In this clean and simple design I focused on the white space and made sure to leave some to contrast these gorgeous, big flowers. I used a simple sugar card stock base, stamped the two larger flowers in Lido ink, and then one in Bellini ink. The solid flower I stamped in Burano ink and then the sentiment was stamped in Titan ink. I embellished the center of each flower with a tiny pearl, and that’s it! A very clean, simple card—very fresh!

new product sneak peek!

This weekend, A Muse|Studio consultants from all over the country are down in New Orleans attending the first annual A|S Consultant Convention! That’s right—a brand new A|S catalog/idea book is about to be revealed, along with many of the new products for 2012!

Even though I am not among the ladies attending THIS year, as a consultant, I was able to pre-order from a short list of new products. My order arrived on Thursday and I had some time this morning to whip up a few cards using a new stamp set and a new color or two…you can see these cards photographed individually by viewing them in my A|S Card Gallery – just click on the tab at the top of this page and you can get a better look…

Charming Gardeners

These cards were made with new colors and a brand new stamp set called Charming Gardeners (what a versatile set!).  The colors I used are eucalyptus, a color from the original A|S winter color palette, as well as new colors —Rialto (the deep olive green) and Titan (the brown ribbon (shown middle card on right). These two new colors are part of a brand new color palette from A|S called The Venetian. It includes three other beautiful, warm, sunny colors…

Lido – a deep, golden yellow similar to Papaya

Bellini – a sweet, bright, orange sherbet color I know you’re going to love

Burano – a vivid tangerine

All of these colors come in inks, solid card stock, the Venetian patterned card stock and 5/8″ satin ribbon. A sample of all the new colors in a brand new Venetian pattern are shown here to give you a little sneak peak of this beautiful new addition to the A|S color palette…(L-R: Lido, Bellini, Burano, Rialto and Titan)…

A|S - Venetian Color Palette

In addition to some fabulous new stamp sets, A Muse|Studio has some terrific new products coming our way!  New patterned papers including a tiny polka dot, new ribbons, new glitter colors including orange, lime, champagne and french roast, and a few new colors besides the new Venetian colors including a grapefruit (a warm, mid-tone pink), pistachio (a soft, cool, pale green), grape (a rich, med-tone purple) and Seattle (a deep gray). The only color that will no longer be available is the Cranberry. A|S elected to keep Cherry as the true red in the palette. We’ve also paired with Spellbinders to bring you a bigger, more versatile die cutting platform in 8-1/2 x 11 size! This means bigger, more useful die shapes — boxes, bags, envelopes, etc (14 new die sets in total, including a new label set!). I can hardly wait to see these myself!

I will be ordering the new catalogs on Monday and should have them by the end of the first week in February. I have dates available for home workshops if you live in CT, MA or RI and would like to see a demonstration and enjoy some stamping fun with your girl friends! Place a comment or email me directly at 27checkerberry@gmail.com to book a workshop and receive your NEW 2012 A|S Catalog absolutely FREE, in addition to all of the free product included in the hostess benefits!

More tidbits to come…stay tuned 🙂
