clean & simple sunday no. 131

It’s another clean and simple Sunday here on CheckerberryLane and today I wanted to share an idea for a clean and simple Christmas ornament…

I used the maple tags from A Muse Studio as a base for the ornaments. These are round, flat disks of sanded maple and they give a nice weight to the ornaments. The snowflakes were cut out of coaster board using the Snowflake Trio Too dies (the largest die). The coaster board has a subtle texture and it’s thicker than regular card stock.

These ornaments have a very natural look to them, especially if you add the white button and the natural twine as a hanger. You can certainly color and sparkle these ornaments up with Copics, Splash! ink, glitter and twinkle stickers, but I chose to leave mine natural.

These would be pretty on any Christmas tree, as a cute package tie-on or even to give as a gift! If you’d like to make some, I’ve created a printable tutorial you can download for free.

All products used to make these ornaments (except for the hot glue gun) are A Muse Studio and you can order the supplies HERE. They’ll ship USPS priority flat rate mail, right to your door, anywhere in the U.S.A. Our BLACK FRIDAY SALE continues through December 7th while supplies last. Take advantage of steep discounts on some super cute stamp sets and stamp+die bundles!

Clean & Simple Sunday No. 130

There’s a seasonable nip in the air this morning on Checkerberry Lane and although I’m not in any hurry to have snow, this stamp set was calling to me…  A Muse Studio’s Flaky Friends

DSC_1095 copy

The blush, cherry and sky color palette adds to the whimsy of this winter-themed/holiday card and the lack of front sentiment makes me want to open it!  The matching die set makes cutting out the snowman and those adorable mittens, a total snap! I used the little snowflake images from the set to create the falling snow background on the base card, stamping them in sky ink. I used Copic markers to color in the snowman elements and some left over bunny bums from one of the spring collections to create the snowballs. A little wrap of peppermint twine finishes off the design.

I hope you feel inspired to enjoy a little stamping fun today.

You can order all of the products I used to create this card, out of our Holiday Catalog.  For more fun, stamping inspiration from A Muse Studio, and to shop anytime 24/7 with delivery right to your door:

Clean & Simple Sunday No. 129 – November Collection!

October was the kick off for “craft fair season” here on Checkerberry Lane… I participated in three different craft fairs during October and have two more to go, one in November and one in December, here in Connecticut.

This is a peek at my craft fair display… it actually looks a little bit different at every fair depending on what I’m offering for sale and if the fair provides a table or if I bring my own. Those vintage suitcases help to draw in customers as well as that cute banner…it makes my display feel like a party!

So that’s what has been keeping me busy the last few weeks, but I’m back today with another Clean and Simple Sunday card this week, featuring a stamp set from our new NOVEMBER Collection

This stamp set is called Forest Friends… so adorable and sweet! It comes with quite a few outline images of different forest animals, two evergreen trees and several sentiments.

Forest Friends   AMS-216 thru AMS-220

I colored in the images in my sample using my Copic markers and then used the corresponding dies to die cut the images. I also used the landscape dies + the scalloped border dies and a wrap of peppermint baker’s twine to finish it off.

All products from the November Collection are now available to order through my secure web store –

You can order items from the November Collection from today straight through until November 30th at midnight. Orders ship directly to your door, anywhere in the USA.

Thanks for sharing part of your day with me!  See you again soon!

clean and simple sunday no. 128

Hello! I’m back again this Sunday with another Clean & Simple post, this time showcasing TWO cards instead of one since there are so many fabulous new stamp sets from the A Muse Studio Holiday Catalog that I want to share…

This first card features our new stitched circle dies + the brand new pinking circle dies and images from the Halloween in our Town stamp set. The sentiment is from the Spooky Girlfriend stamp set.

This card features poinsettia images from the Holiday Greenery stamp set, with a sentiment from Christmas in our Town.

If you have questions about supplies used on these cards please leave them in the comments. I’m always happy to answer questions about stamping and A Muse Studio products. Thanks for taking a look today!  Until next time…

clean & simple sunday no. 127

Hello everyone! Back today with a clean, fresh design using the Love & Thanks stamp set and dies…

The flowers and leaves in this set are so sweet and whimsical! They look amazing in many different color combinations. I chose a base card of SHELL and ink colors of SAGE and BERRY to create this housewarming card. The circle dot image and the Home Sweet Home were stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed in gold. I love how the doily adds some extra daintiness to the design.

I’ll be back next Sunday with some holiday designs–both Halloween and Christmas!  Until then…

Clean & Simple Sunday No. 126 | Love & Thanks

The release of the A Muse Studio Holiday Catalog is only two days away, and my design team friends and I have been working on samples and design team assignments and all things Halloween and Christmas for several weeks now! I have to say, I’ve been loving every minute!! The holiday catalog is always my favorite release of the year and I love the offerings from A Muse Studio this year. Have you seen all of the sneak peeks on the A|S blog and instagram?!  So exciting to see new stamps, dies and embellishments!

Last night, after immersing myself in Halloween all day, I was trying to switch gears to put a card together for today’s post and I came across this lovely card on Pinterest by Debby Hughes. I was instantly inspired!!

It excites me to take a card designed by someone else and make it my own, especially when I’m dealing with a little “stampers block”. I thought her design and use of embellishments was so clean and simple and BEAUTIFUL!!  I know I’ll be using this overall card design again in the future, probably for some holiday cards, so keep an eye out for it!

For my version of this card design, I used some petite pinstripe card stock in slate as my base card, a panel of sky to stamp on and both the Love & Thanks stamp set and coordinating dies + the new  Happy Thoughts stamp set (sentiment).

I can’t get enough of the sentiments in this Happy Thoughts stamp set and I find myself going back to Love & Thanks again and again. The botanicals are very versatile and work well with almost any sentiment in our catalog!

If you live in the U.S. and would like to purchase any of the A Muse Studio supplies I used for today’s clean and simple card you can shop A|S right HERE.

fancybox-h15-arrives1septBe sure to check back here on Tuesday when the brand new holiday catalog will be available for download! I might even have a few card samples to share!

Until then…

Clean & Simple Sunday No. 125 | C’est La Vie

Listening to the “Smooth Jazz Brunch” on my local radio station this morning to bring you another clean and simple card using a sweet stamp set from our new annual catalog… C’est La Vie:

This set is a new favorite of mine, though it’s been in the annual catalog for a couple of years now. I love the sketchy cityscape image paired with several swirly/romantic font greetings. Personal StationeryI find that with this particular stamp set it’s very easy to create several cute cards for many different occasions using just this one stamp set—a nice, easy way to stretch your stamping dollars!

In the card I created above, I also used a small strip of one of the rose patterned papers from the Everything’s Rosy 6×6 paper packet. The papers in that packet are very bold so I try to only use them in small quantity on a card design to help add interest or color, or both, in the case of the card above. This also stretches my budget because the paper lasts a long time, using it in small amounts.

I hope this card inspires you to do a little stamping this weekend…

If you wish to purchase the stamp set, patterned paper and any other supplies to make this card, you can SHOP HERE.

Until next time!
