Holiday Card Series 2014 – Best Wishes Jingle Bell

Card #5  | This card happens to be one of my very favorite in the entire series… couldn’t wait to share this one with you!

I started with a square base card in vanilla, measuring 4.25”. I added a panel of Twas the Night card stock slightly smaller at 4” square. I then cute a Labels 8 die panel out of cherry card stock and heat embossed a greeting from the Wishing You the Merriest stamp set in white embossing powder.

I die cut one of the snowflakes from the Snowflake Trio 2 set, the largest one, out of fern card stock and cut it into pieces to resemble a pine bough, gluing them together with some adhesive to form a little bunch. I glued them to the sentiment panel, wrapped a bit of French roast & white baker’s twine around the panel and attached a jingle bell (the larger of the two sizes offered by A|S). I then attached the entire sentiment panel to the base card using 3D foam adhesive.

This card has such a nice, traditional Christmas design and I love the added touch of the jingle bell, even though this card might be difficult to mail because of it. If you love this card too, but will need to mail it, try wrapping some vanilla satin ribbon around the sentiment panel and tying it in a knot with tails instead of incorporating the jingle bell. This might help it get through the postal machines a bit better, and arrive safely to your recipient.

Thanks to those of you leaving feedback in the comments! I read every comment and truly appreciate them.
