stained glass poppy series… card no. 2

I’m back today with card no. 2 in the Stained Glass Poppy series…

This card came together quite nicely with the help of my stamp positioning tool. This stamp positioning tool is one of my very favorite stamping gadgets and a tool I keep right at my fingertips! Without this tool I would never have been able to line up the sentiment image to stamp it over and over again with nearly perfect placement. If you have one of these but forgot how to use it, or if you don’t know what a stamp positioning tool is, you can see a quick video right HERE. The lady in this video does a great job of explaining and showing how to use the magnificent tool! A Muse Studio offers this tool in the accessories section of the catalog, page 139, item#TSMPJG1 for $11.95…worth every penny!

So for this poppy card, I chose an interior sentiment from the Birthdays Inside and Out stamp set and with slate ink and the help of my stamp positioning tool, I stamped it again and again on a small rectangle of white card stock. I stamped it once in cherry ink to make it stand out from the other repeats and when I was finished stamping I ended up with a little background panel covered with a repeat of the same sentiment. I stamped the poppy image in Memento Black ink and colored it in with Copic markers for this card, rather than watercolor, like I did with card no. 1.

I will be back early next week with card no. 3, the final card in the Stained Glass Poppy Series. If you happened to miss card no. 1 in the series, you can see that right HERE.  Until next time…
