Clean & Simple Sunday No. 94

Just getting back into my studio again after a few weeks off and needing to add cards to my birthday stash… I was looking around on Pinterest for inspiration to help me get going and I found this cute, clean, simple sketch from Studio Calico which really inspired my card for today!

I started with a winter sky card base and a circle die cut from Spellbinders and offered by A Muse Studio in sugar card stock. I layered on some strips of A|S card stock out of my scrap drawers and cut the ends into fish tail and angled shapes.

The flower was created using the A|S Flowers 1 die set; just cut the smallest flower twice out of vellum and layered them together with a glue dot, adding a pink button and some twine to embellish.

The sentiment was stamped on sugar card stock in Memento black ink and it comes from the Essential Sentiments stamp set. I would have loved to have curved it along the line of the circle die like the sketch shows, but that only works really well with clear photopolymer stamps, not so well with cling mount, so I added the sentiment to another little banner strip instead. I added a few tiny sparkle stickers for a little bit of shine and voila!, another birthday card added to my stash!

Until next time…
