Holiday Card Series 2013 – More Peace on Earth

Day 5

Today’s card is another one that fits into the non-denominational category…

I started with a sky base card and cut a layer of sugar to stamp on. I used both the trees and sentiment from Peaceful Forest. I stamped the trees in grass ink twice without re-inking to create the little forest with lighter and darker trees. I then cut a narrow strip of vellum card stock for my sentiment and stamped that in eucalyptus ink. I wrapped this strip around the white stamped panel and secured it with adhesive on the back. I then glued the whole panel to the front of the card.

The finishing touch was a bit of twine wrapped twice around the card front into a little bow under the sentiment. The color scheme, stamp choices and twine embellishment really give this card a peaceful, natural look. A really nice card to send during the holiday season to anyone on your list!

All stamp sets and card-making supplies used to make this card can be purchased through my secure web store at your convenience, and orders ship directly to your door anywhere in the U.S.
