clean and simple sunday no. 74

Good morning and welcome to the new CheckerberryLane… The blog transition went pretty smoothly for the most part, I’m still a bit “under construction” as I work to add information to the right margin, but overall I’m very pleased with the results (and I hope you are too)… this template ties right in with Checkerberry Lane Studio as I make the effort to connect my card boutique on Etsy, my A Muse|Studio business and this blog, as I embark on the craft fair circuit this Spring & Summer.

So lets get on with Clean & Simple Sunday for this week… I chose a stamp set that’s brand new to me, Egg-stravaganza, for this weeks card…

The A Muse|Studio Spring color palette is my very favorite grouping of colors they offer… so soft and pretty and so very Spring! I used lemon whip as the card base, lichen for the main panel and then a small strip of fern to make the grass. I don’t have that little grass die cut (yet!) so I just clip the edge of the paper with scissors and ruffle it up with my fingers to give it a grassy-texture. The coordinating die that I purchased to go with the stamp set is really darling… it makes a perfect egg and the images are easy to stamp directly on the die cut piece. It would be very easy to whip up a quick batch of these cards to send out to relatives or friends, near or far, sending Happy Easter wishes their way.  Easter is just two weeks from today… do I hear robins tweeting?!  Not quite, but soon! Enjoy this day!!
