heart pillow project…

A Muse|Studio offers a beautiful array of products for stamping and paper-crafting. They also offer some gorgeous felt in many different colors. This felt works really well with the die shapes also offered by A|S. Over the weekend I took out my heart trio die set and had a little fun…

I created this adorable heart pillow using two pieces of vanilla felt plus a few scraps of shell and cherry. The sheets of felt measure 9 x 11″ so I cut the vanilla pieces to create a 9″ square. I used a bit of the Tombow adhesive tape on each of the hearts to hold them in place while I sewed a straight line through each column of hearts. I then turned the right side of the pillow facing in and sewed up the side seams, leaving a small opening at the bottom as my stuffing hole. I turned the pillow right side out and began stuffing it with polyfill. When I finished stuffing the pillow to my desired fullness, I used a needle and thread to sew up the stuffing hole by hand. I was inspired to try this project after seeing the adorable bat pillow on page 29 of the A|S Holiday Catalog 2012. I wanted something festive for my living room and this pillow is just right.

The BRAND NEW A Muse|Studio 2013 catalog is right around the corner! In fact, I’m headed to South Carolina this weekend to attend the annual consultant conference where we will get the first glimpse of the new catalog/idea book. I know it will be full of incredible new stamp sets, fun accessories and photos of inspiring stamp art projects. Looking forward to sharing it all with you upon my return. In the mean time, take a look through the current version of the catalog…maybe you’ll see a project you’ll want to try!
