clean & simple sunday no. 60

Today’s clean and simple post features easy, handmade gift tag ideas…

three tags

IDEA| These tags are a great way to snazz up any package, including food gifts! You could write to/from information on them or stamp your favorite holiday sentiment on the front and write the to/from on the back of the tag. You could add glitter or little sparkle stickers to dress them up!

Here is a closer look…

tag 1

This tag features candy cane striped card stock as well as the Cool Yule stamp set from A Muse|Studio. I just cut a little rectangle of vanilla card stock and stamped the images in cherry and grass ink colors. I could have left it at that but I chose to add the striped “topper” and the baker’s twine to bump it up!

tag 2

This tag is for a bigger gift, it measures about 3.5 x 4.5″, I stamped the pine bough and the JOY sentiment from the Winter Pine stamp set. I used my Labels 8 dies, the very smallest one, to create the little piece at the top, sort of a reinforcement for the hole. The cherry polka dot organdy is the finishing touch.

tag 3

This last tag is probably my favorite of the three… I love the Twas the Night printed cardstock! I think it looks so cute with the candy cane striped card stock at the top and then with the bottom-rounded corners. I’m going to make more of these but instead of stamping the snowflake, I’m going to use the Snowflake Trio Dies and cut out some pretty snowflakes to attach to the front.  I’ll probably embellish with crystal stickers! I think these tags would look SO GREAT tied to bottles of wine to give as gifts or tied with cherry satin ribbon around loaves of cranberry-orange bread.

I hope these simple gift tags have inspired your own creativity and you’ll enjoy the special feeling of adding a touch of handmade to your gifts this year!!
