a halloween banner

I purchased that Halloween stamp set from A Muse | Studio called Haunted and in addition to the CSS-no.54 card with the tree and the spooky fence I posted a week or so ago, I also created this little Halloween banner…

I don’t normally do a lot of Halloween decorating but I love to put up a little banner for smaller holidays and make the living room a little more festive for the month.

Here is a little closer look at each side of the banner so you can see a bit more detail…

I cut folded triangles out of the Sleepy Hollow card stock to create the little pennants and strung them onto some onyx and white baker’s twine. I then spelled B-O-O on my computer in MSWord, punched the letters out with my Spellbinders circle dies and then matted them with the Spellbinder scallop circles and attached them to the panels with foam squares. I stamped the crooked house and whimsical tree using black ink directly on the pennant panel and then wrapped a spooky fence die cut around the tree panel and added a yellow stamped moon and a die cut bat to the crooked house pennant. I finished off the banner by tying orange polka dot organdy ribbons between the pennants of the banner.

This was fun and very easy to make! The black and white/cream color-scheme coordinates with any decor and it’s a cute decoration for the Halloween. If you’d like to make one but need supplies, check out my stamp shop in the right margin–just click on the A|S logo in the green circle under my photo!
