color challenge wednesday no. 27

The color challenge for this week features Marevelous Marigolds in grey, red and turquoise (A|S colors: seattle, cherry & bermuda)…

This fresh, contemporary color scheme strikes a nice balance between the neutral grey, festive turquoise and the pop of red that excites the design! The leaves are stamped with bermuda ink, the flower in cherry. The sentiment is stamped on the bermuda card strip in seattle ink. To embellish, I chose a pearl sticker for the center of the flower and a bit of bermuda ribbon folded over and stapled to the top of the flower panel. A few simple touches to add something “extra” to the design.

Hoping you have time this week to try out this terrific color combination with some of your own stamps and ink!

  1. I LOVE these colors together and I was just looking at my Marvelous Marigold Stamp set thinking “I haven’t used this in awhile, hmmmmmm what shall I make?” And here you are with more wonderful ideas dear Niece, thank you!!

  2. Thank you, Auntie! xoxo
Just so you know, there is a search feature on my blog. Go to the top, right margin and you’ll see a little search window… just type in the name of any stamp set and if I’ve used it and posted something on my blog then when you search the name you should come up with a list of posts using that set. I try to tag every card with at least the stamp set name if not the occasion. I hope that helps next time you need a little inspiration! 🙂

  3. This is BEAUTIFUL! very classic and very calm. wonderful card!
