color challenge wednesday no. 24

This week, I used the Love Machines stamp set to create the color challenge card shown here…

The colors for this week’s challenge include a medium gold, light yellow-green and light blue-green (A|S colors: squash, sky and wasabi). I stamped each of the robots in a different ink color – wasabi, sky and squash – and then punched them out of the white cardstock with my 1-1/4″ square punch. I stamped the sentiment on another square in Memento black. I arranged the four squares on a sky panel cut to 3×3-1/2″. I added a small, wasabi scallop to the bottom of the sky mat and wrapped around some onyx & white baker’s twine as my embellishment before attaching the stamped panel to the base card with foam squares.

This color combination is even more wonderful in person! I think its the contrast between the deep, warm tone of the squash cardstock in contrast to the fresh, lighter pastel colors. I can picture this on father’s day cards, birthday cards, baby cards, and floral cards of all types… love it!  Give it a try this week and let me know what you think! Send me a photo of your creation and I’ll feature it here!
