color challenge wednesday #21

The color challenge for today is to use medium green, light blue-green and chocolate brown (A|S colors: sage, sky & french roast) in one of your card designs…

This card features stamps from both the Sunny Side of Life and the Essential Sentiments stamp sets. I love using a single border scallop to add some weight to the base of my stamped panel. The darker the color of the scallop, the more weight it adds to really draw the eye down.

The ribbon on the paper clip is a great way to balance out the design and add some interest. If you don’t happen to have a border image like the flower silhouette in this example, this card design also works great with multiples of the same image, such as one flower on a stem repeated several times across the white strip or even a random stamped pattern of small, medium and large images all over the panel in coordinating colors.

A fresh, natural color scheme and a very versatile card design this week!  Have fun with it, and if you feel like sharing your creation, email it to me at 27checkerberry@gmail.com. I would love to see what you’ve been up to!
