let’s celebrate!

Day 7 of the CheckerberryLane Blog Birthday Celebration! and what’s a party without some fun decorations!

This cute birthday pennant  that spells out CELEBRATE was a little time consuming to make but not difficult at all!

A supply list and general directions for creating the pennant can be found at the link below, as well as the template for the triangle-shaped piece and the template for the letters that spell out “celebrate”.  Below is a close up of each style flag…

I chose to keep my overall design pretty simple but you could dress this up with any number of
embellishments and really make it your own!

A helpful hint: When using the triangle-shaped template, print it out on regular paper. Cut out the triangle. Trace the paper triangle onto card stock or chipboard to make a sturdy template shape. Fold your sage or bermuda (or whatever color you’re using) card stock in half (short edge to short edge). Line the template up with the wide end opposite the point along the folded edge and place it all the way to the left or right before tracing the template with a pencil. You should be able to get two folded pennant shapes out of one sheet of card stock.
