clean & simple sunday #42

My post today features a sweet, summer color scheme of bermuda, latte and cherry

I used a flag shape from the cupcake toppers die set and cut out a flag in the cherry gingham card stock.  I used some of that  super-stick double-sided red tape to stick the toothpick to the flag shape, then added three little clear sparkles to the flag to dress it up a bit. I attached the flag shape to the card base using a foam square in the middle of the flag. The word “celebrate” was stamped using an image from the cupcake companions stamp set. I stamped it in bermuda, eucalyptus and then cherry. It was easy to line up the words stamping with the clear block but you could also use your stamp-a-ma-jig tool to get the placement correct if you prefer.  I’m a big fan of foam squares and used some on every layer of this card to give it some real dimension. Very happy with the design of this card, hope you enjoy it too — cute for a summer birthday card or invitation!
