Valentine cards are such a sweet way of sharing your feelings with the people you care about, and as of today, Valentine’s Day is exactly one month away!  I thought I would share a few card ideas to get you thinking about your own valentine projects…

I really need to beef up my personal inventory of Valentine stamp images! I do have a few stamp sets that worked well despite the fact that they are not specifically categorized as Valentine, and I also have the heart trio die set.  These are all very simple card designs… The first card on the left with the black satin ribbon and red heart was made using a 4.25 x 8.5 vanilla panel folded in half. I used a sentiment from the That’s the Ticket stamp set in the bottom left corner. I wrapped a black satin ribbon around the middle of the card front and folded the ends in (making it look almost like a bow), adhering them to the base card with glue dots for a good hold before gluing the cherry heart to the front of the card using foam squares. The next card over was created using a black base card, three strips of black shimmer damask card stock and a sugar panel cut with the Labels 8 die set. I used a marker to color in the words “I love you” from the Quick & Cute Valentines set (this image came in my starter kit–it goes with the rocket ship from this set that says “I love you to the moon and back”).  I stamped it down on the sugar panel and added a cherry heart with some foam squares to pop it off the card front. The finishing touch is a piece of cherry and white baker’s twine. The last card shown features images from the Owl’s Well stamp set. This one was super easy. I stamped the images on a vanilla panel and colored them in with Copic markers. I layered the stamped panel onto cherry card stock and punched a small heart out of cherry card stock as well, to put between the owls. I mounted the finished panel on a base card of french roast wood grain card stock.

I have a few more ideas and I will continue sharing them with you in the following weeks!
