workshop sneak peek…

My lovely friend, Jackie, is helping me out by hosting a workshop this evening so I can share A Muse Studio with all of her stamping friends. We will be making the following cards at her workshop tonight…

The yellow card features papaya and french roast ink colors. I used the actual block to stamp the square-ish background for the french roast weedy flower and then also stamped the sentiment in french roast. The card is embellished with a little tie of ribbon and a common paper clip. The sailboat card features Copic markers… the boat is stamped in Memento black ink and colored in with Copic markers, then hand-cut with scissors and mounted to the front of the card using a foam square so it pops off the surface a bit. The waves of gingham blue paper were cut using the medium scallop die. For the rose card, the colors used are sage green plus bubblegum and shell pinks. The leaves are stamped first using sage ink, the roses are inked in shell first, then a sponge dauber is inked up in bubblegum and applied directly to the already inked stamp to give the rose centers a darker look. After roses are stamped, the Quickie Glue Pen is used to apply glue along the lines inside the roses and glitter is dusted over the surface to give the roses some sparkle.

Looking forward to a wonderful evening of stamping and sharing these great products! If you live in CT, MA or RI and would like to have a workshop in your home to share in some stamping fun please let me know—I have dates available!
