clean & simple sunday #9

Despite Hurricane Irene and the resulting power outages on the east coast preventing me from returning home from my weekend in Lancaster PA, I did manage to squeak out a simple card design for today’s post, from my hotel room…

This card is one of my first cards made with all A Muse Studio products!! The inks are velvety soft and the paper so smooth and crisp… it was truly a pleasure working with these products to create this simple card design. I used the Wild Rose stamp set with a color scheme of sugar/sage/shell and ink colors in sage/shell/bubblegum.  I sponged the different pink inks onto the roses to give them a little dimension. Though its hard to tell in the photo, I added a dusting of glitter to the roses also, to give them a little sparkle… another sweet and simple design.

Wishing all my readers a speedy recovery from Hurricane Irene and power returned to all of you very soon. I’m hoping that my new train reservation holds for tomorrow morning and that I’m reunited with my family late tomorrow afternoon. I do know I will probably be returning home to the power out and from what I’ve read online it could be out for a week or more in some areas of Connecticut.  Should that be the case I do apologize for my “radio silence” and promise to be back to posting as soon as power is restored.
