clean & simple sunday #8

So I like to call this week’s design “center scene”.  I start out with a small panel and work with just that small panel to create the focal point of my card. All stamp images and embellishments are incorporated into this small panel and then the finished panel is added to a coordinating colored base card or a white base card depending on the color of the panel.  In this example I used foam squares to lift my smaller panel off of the base card. This adds a little dimension to an otherwise simple design so it doesn’t look quite so flat…

Center Scene

The products I used this week are a hybrid of A Muse Studio stamps and SU! card stock and ink.  The ribbon is from Offray. The stamp set I used is the only one I have from A|S so far–its called “Life is a Song”. The SU! colors are black, white, Sahara Sand (for the bird cage) and Pear Pizazz. I also colored the little bird in the cage with my Quicky Glue Pen and doused him with glitter.  So sweet and simple…  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
