clean and simple sunday #1

I have been paper-crafting for years, and at this point I often think of it as my therapy. When I have time to play, it really does take me to another place and I’m sure many of you know what I mean…No matter how much time I have to spend, my card designs have always been very clean and simple–its just my personal style. I do like some of  the more complicated card designs I see on Splitcoaststampers and on other blogs, but I tend to find inspiration from the designs that are well-balanced and color coordinated and could be put together in 10 minutes or less. If you like clean, simple designs, then my Sunday post is for you!  Every Sunday I will be posting a card (or two!) showing a clean and simple design.  We’ll call it “Clean & Simple Sunday” .  I will list the stamp company and colors so you can look for the stamp sets if you like the image.  I hope that Clean & Simple Sunday posts will inspire you in some way in your card-making!

I made this card in a purple and green color-scheme.  The green panel is dry embossed using a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The image is stamped  on white card stock and embellished with a little bit of grosgrain ribbon and a button.
The stamp set I used is from Hampton Arts. Its called  Fancy Floral and it’s one of their acrylic sets.

This card is nice because I was able to use card stock from my scrap bin, I put it together in under 10 minutes and  it could easily be used for a number of different occasions…  I often leave cards blank inside until I’m ready to send them out, that way I can add the appropriate sentiment for the occasion.  In this case it could be birthday, thank you, get well or thinking of you, just to name a few.

Enjoy your Sunday and the rest of your holiday weekend !
